One of Apple TV’s standout series in recent years, Severance, is poised to return as costume designer Carol Deelay recently announced on Instagram that production for Season 2 has concluded. This update comes shortly after Tramell Tillman, a notable cast member, signed on for the upcoming Mission: Impossible film. Remarkably, the show wrapped up filming in less than two months, starting at the end of January. Severance first premiered in February 2022 and has received high praise, with a 97% critic rating and an 87% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

At the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, Severance garnered 14 nominations and secured two wins: Outstanding Music Composition in a Series for Theodore Shapiro and Outstanding Main Title Design for Oliver Latta and Teddy Blanks. Noteworthy performances by Adam Scott, John Turturro, and Christopher Walken earned nominations, along with Ben Stiller for his direction and Dan Erickson for his writing. The show was also nominated in several other categories, including casting and editing, and for Outstanding Drama. Though Succession and Squid Game took many awards, Severance stood out as a strong contender in the drama category. With Succession now ended, Severance might well become the next big winner at future Television Academy Awards.

What Is Severance Season 1 About?

Severance Season 1 introduces Mark Scout (Scott) leading a team at biotech firm Lumon, where employees have their memories bifurcated between work and personal life.
